CARING FOR THE EARTH
Mural Intervention for Street Art Festival Conversas na Rua
Lisbon, Portugal
2020
The idea was to bring some of the history of this neighbour in Lisbon, with the representation of the fields before all the development and progress of society.
Remembering that we must continue to care for Earth.

Notes:
Talking about what this kind of work involves, I get the hours.
In these hours there is a lot of physical effort, improvisation, unforeseen also and a lot of adaptation.
Hours on end without eating because otherwise we get soft and the power breaks down.
Times when our car becomes our closest private space.
Hours that constitute every day preparation of the materials, of the paints and at the end of the day
the washing and storage of everything.
And so many hours in the following days alike.
Sometimes, there is still an hour when we fall down the ladder and we inwardly thank the body for being
able to continue the work.
But these many hours we are on the street, reveal to us the natural elements that surround us we see
the leaves falling, feel the air, listen to music and hope to contribute our best piece to the public space
and a more joyful everyday life.
So in those hours they constitute the pure sharing with the place and the people who make a point of
going every day through the work to see the evolution give strength and say openly that they thank
for the view of their window to become more colorful.
In the end every hour makes sense.
